Woodeaton is situated close to the water meadows of the Cherwell. The cross on the village green is believed to be 13th century. The Manor House is a Grade II* listed building owned by the County Council and used for the last fifty years as a school for children with learning difficulties. Built in 1775, it has a portico, east wing and interiors, including fine marble fireplaces and decorations, by Sir John Soane in 1790.
