Beckley Church stands in a commanding position with extended views over Otmoor from the churchyard. The interior shows traces of a Norman ground plan and the present church building dates from the early 14th and 15th centuries. The interior contains many features of historical interest such as Wall Paintings including a 'Doom' and a 'Weighing of Souls'. There is a Norman tub font (circa 1200). The stained glass windows date mainly from around 1300 and from the Victorian era. The unusual dedication of the church (Post Reformation) to 'The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary' is depicted in a modern Triptych painted in 1997 by Nicholas Mynheer. Full information and Guide Books are to be found in the Church.
