The village of Warborough and the hamlet of Shillingford join each other and form a line of growing residential development reaching north from the bank of the Thames. The river can be crossed at Shillingford by a decorated bridge erected in 1827 and there are several houses from the 15th to the 18th century in the village. Warborough has a Georgian vicarage and a manor house of 1696, together with a church with a chancel of Early English design. Warborough Green, more than 10 acres in extent, with open views of the Chilterns, lies in the heart of Warborough.
