The delightful downland village of North Moreton dates back to the Doomsday Book and has many ancient and listed buildings. The splendid All Saints Church, built mainly in the 13th and 15th centuries, nestles in the centre of the village. Its famous Chantry Chapel stained glass window is attributed to the master glassmakers of Westminster Abbey. Although only 350 people live in the village, North Moreton is a thriving community, boasting the Moreton Cricket Club founded in 1858, the Bear Pub, a children's playground, and scenic footpaths to neighbouring villages. A bus service operates from Didcot Parkway railway station.
