This historic village, situated near Wallingford, is a delight to walk around and makes a good starting point for longer walks to Wittenham Clumps, Dorchester etc. There are many interesting old houses and buildings and the village has three churches. In the grounds of St Agatha's church there remains a section of an ancient cob wall. The Red Lion Pub, which serves good food and also provides the venue for the Post Office two mornings a week. The village is home to the world famous Bach Centre and Dr Edward Bach is buried in St James' churchyard.
