Bix

Bix, Lower Assendon and Middle Assendon are three hamlets lying in the beautiful area known as the Stonor Valley, to the north of the A4130 between Henley and Nettlebed. Bix was a Saxon settlement situated around a now ruined church at Bix Bottom. Lower and Middle Assendon are Saxon villages and the names mean 'The Valley of the Wild Ass'.

There are town medieval houses and over 30 listed buildings including inns, farmhouses, cottages and houses - many of them in flint.
