Decision
Planning Permission on 27th April 2000
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That no works of repair or maintenance to motor vehicles shall be undertaken except within the buildings shown cross-hatched on the plan accompanying this decision notice (Ref: AJG/P99/N0477/RET - Plan 1). Reason: To ensure that the commercial use of the site does not become intrusive and detrimental to the appearance of the area.

That the existing hay barn, coloured blue on the plan accompanying this decision notice (Ref: AJG/P99/N0477/RET - Plan 1), shall be used for agricultural purposes only unless planning permission has first been granted by the Local Planning Authority in respect of an alternative use of the building. Reason: To ensure that the commercial use of the site does not become intrusive and detrimental to the appearance of the area.

That the land used in connection with the landscape contractors activity shall be for storage purposes only and restricted to the area edged green on the plan accompanying this decision notice (Ref: AJG/P99/N0477/RET - Plan 1). Items and materials stored within this area shall not exceed 1.5 metres in height. Reason: To safeguard the appearance of the site and its surroundings.

That the existing hedge along the eastern boundary of the site fronting onto the highway shall be retained and properly maintained at a height of not less than two metres, and that any plant which may die or be seriously damaged or destroyed shall be replaced with a plant of a similar size and species in the first available planting season. Reason: To help to assimilate the development into its surroundings.

That a scheme for the landscaping of the site, including the provision of a two metre wide native hedgerow along the northern boundary of the site, shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority within three months of the date of this decision. The scheme shall be implemented as approved within six months of the date of this decision and the hedgerow shall be so tended as to grow to, and remain at, a height of not less than two metres. Any plant which may die or be seriously damaged or destroyed shall be replaced with a plant of a similar size and species in the first available planting season. Reason: To help to assimilate the development into its surroundings.

That the parking of staff vehicles, with the exception of those related to the landscape contractors use, and the parking of vehicles awaiting repair or collection shall take place only in the area coloured orange on the plan accompanying this decision notice (Ref: AJG/P99/N0477/RET - Plan 1). Reason: To ensure that the commercial use of the site does not become intrusive and detrimental to the appearance of the area.
