That, having regard to the retention of the mismatching section of brickwork and stone coping, the works do not preserve the architectural interest of the listed gate piers and represent harm to the overall significance of the listed structure that is not outweighed by any public benefit. Therefore, it is considered to be contrary to the advice contained in the National Planning Policy Framework and contrary to Policies ENV6 and ENV7 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035 and Policy CRP4 of the Crowmarsh Parish Neighbourhood Plan 2024-2041.
