Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 27th November 2024
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The erection of the proposed equipment storage building within the Chilterns National Landscape area would result in the erosion of open countryside, through positioning and associated domestic activity of the surrounding field and pose harm to the prevailing settlement pattern, the rural character and appearance of the area and the agricultural land that forms the application site. The proposal would fail to conserve or enhance the landscape setting of the Chilterns National Landscape, contrary to paragraphs 180 to 194 of the National Policy Framework, Policies STRAT1, ENV1, DES1 and DES2 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035, and guidance contained within the council's Joint Design Guide 2022.
