Description
- Repair missing dentils;
- Remove vegetation which is growing from mortar joints;
- Reface stones on northern and southern elevations where there is severe deterioration;
- Repoint with an appropriate hydraulic lime based mortar;
- Remove insensitive graffiti on the south eastern wing wall via TORC or DOFF cleaning systems;
- Install hidden slate reinforcement behind stones for extra stability;
- Remove vegetation on the south western wing wall;
- Remove vegetation on the north eastern bridge deck wall;
- Undertake repairs to the balustrade where there are cracks and chips;
- Replace the few balusters that are severely eroded; and
- Remove insensitive adhesive material that was used on a previous lighting scheme (the cabling was already removed).

Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The works hereby permitted shall be begun not later than three years from the date of this consent.
Reason: To comply with the provisions of section 18(1) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 as amended by section 51 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
That the works hereby approved shall be carried out in accordance with the details shown on the following approved plans, 5208104-ATK-SBR-0147-DR-CB-0003 P01, 5208104-ATK-SBR-0147-DR-CB-0006 P01, 5208104-ATK-SBR-0147-DR-CB-0005 P01, 5208104-ATK-SBR-0147-DR-CB-0002 P01, 5208104-ATK-SBR-0147-DR-CB-0004 P01, 5208104-ATK-SBR-0147-DR-CB-0001 P01, 5208104-ATK-SBR-0147-DR-CB-0007 P01 and 5208104-ATK-SBR-0147-DR-CB-0008 P01, except as controlled or modified by conditions of this consent.
Reason: To secure the proper planning of the historic environment in accordance with Development Plan policies.
The works hereby permitted shall be completed in strict accordance with the methodology and details specified on the plans and supporting documents hereby approved or in details which shall previously have been approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority.
Reason: To secure the proper planning of the historic environment and in the interests of the visual appearance of the development in accordance with Policies ENV6 and ENV7 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035.
All repair and replacement works to the bridge hereby permitted shall be complete in natural stone - Doulting RAG T, as specified in supporting documents hereby approved or in materials which shall previously have been approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority.
