Description
Like for like replacement of main entrance doors. Areas of rot to be sensitively repaired and made good on sills and fascia/corbels. Iron Mongery/Fittings - any redundant fittings to be removed and areas made good. Replacement fittings will be in either stainless steel or brass. Latches to be installed to keep main doors open during opening hours. Removal of redundant canvas covers to the sides of the doors covering the hinges. Proposed works include all external surfaces to be sensitively prepared, followed by an undercoat and top coat. Change of colour also proposed to any areas currently grey to Little Greene Basalt (shop frontage, first floor windows and decoration). (additional information received 10th January 2024).

Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The works hereby permitted shall be begun not later than three years from the date of this consent. Reason: To comply with the provisions of section 18(1) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 as amended by section 51 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.

That the works hereby approved shall be carried out in accordance with the details shown on the following approved plans, BLO 001, LOC 001, PE001 and 1181PE002, except as controlled or modified by conditions of this consent. Reason: To secure the proper planning of the historic environment in accordance with Development Plan policies.

The exterior of the works hereby permitted shall only be constructed in the materials specified on the plans/supporting documents received in January 2024 hereby approved or in materials which shall previously have been approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To preserve the historic and architectural interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy ENV7 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035.
