The proposed dormer would, as a result its position on the front elevation, create an imbalance to the pair of semi-detached dwellings and would be a dominant feature within the site which would be visually intrusive within the surrounding rural landscape. The development would cause material harm to the character and appearance of the existing dwelling and wider area, contrary to Policies DES1 and DES2 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035 and guidance within the SOVWH Joint Design Guide 2022.
