The proposed extension is considered to harm the significance of the listed building and its relationship with the farmhouse by disrupting its original form and eroding its agricultural character through the introduction of an overly domestic feature which cuts through the eaves. Therefore, the works will not preserve the listed building and the application is contrary to S.16 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 (as amended), and Policies ENV6 and ENV7 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035, Policy LM4 of the Little Milton Neighbourhood Plan and the NPPF.
