Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 3rd July 2019
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
Having regard to the scale of the proposed front extensions, their discordant design, incongruous fenestration detail and visual prominence, the District Council considers that the proposal would both respond poorly to the character of the existing dwelling and represent a harmful, visually-incongruous addition to the wider street scene. As such, the proposal would be contrary to Policy DSQ1 of the Joint Henley and Harpsden Neighbourhood Plan, Policy CSQ3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy, Policies G2, D1 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 and guidance contained within the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
