Refusal of Planning Permission on 27th May 2008
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposals are contrary to policies G6, D4 and H13 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, and to advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2000. Having regard to the location of the dwelling in close proximity to adjoining properties, and having regard to the pitched roof form of the extension proposed, the proposals would result in an overbearing and unneighbourly form of development by reason of overlooking, intrusion and loss of light that would detract from the residential amenity currently enjoyed by the occupants of the adjoining residential properties.
The proposals would be contrary to policies G6 and H13 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 and to advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2000. Having regard to the size of the extension proposed, the proposal would leave inadequate amenity space to serve the enlarged property, detrimental to the residential amenity of the occupiers of the extended dwelling, and accordingly would represent a cramped overdevelopment of the site.
