The development fails to provide adequate visibility splays for the vehicular access and is therefore detrimental to highway safety. The cutting back of the hedge and its reduction in height to achieve increased visibility would be detrimental to the setting of 1 Bridge End Cottage, which is a Grade II listed building. Therefore the development would be contrary to the provisions of the Oxfordshire Structure Plan 2016, particularly Policy T8 and the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, particularly Policies T1 and CON5.
