That having regard to the design details and size of the proposed extension; in particular, the asymmetric floor plan and roof form, the large areas of glazing, and the higher ridge and eaves line; the proposal is out of keeping with the small scale character, design and form of the original building. As such, the proposal would detract from the character of the existing building and the visual amenity of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty contrary to Policies G1, G8, C2 and H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, Policies G2, C2, D1 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft and Policies EX1 and EX2 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
