Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 26th January 2006
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to the excessive amount of extension and inappropriate design details, the proposed conversion would result in the loss of the essential character of the original building and would appear unduly prominent in the street scene, disrupting the symmetry between the building and No.34 opposite thus failling to preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the Henley (Reading Road) Conservation Area. The proposal would therefore be contrary to adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan Policies G2, G6, CON7 and H4 and Section 4.7 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
