The proposal is contrary to policies G1, C2 and H12 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, to policies G2, C2 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local plan 2011 (Second deposit draft September 2003), and to advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide, in particular sections EX2, BD1, BD7 and BD13. Having regard to the excessive size of the proposed conservatory and to the inappropriate details of design, the addition of the conservatory would result in a form of extension that would not respect the form and character of the existing dwelling and would fail to conserve and enhance the landscape quality of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
