Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 1st June 2005
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to the restricted size of the site and to the spacious character of surrounding development, the erection of a detached dwelling on the site would result in a cramped and intrusive form of development that would appear contrived on its site, out of keeping with the established character of the area and would detract from the visual amenity of the street scene. In this way the proposal would be contrary to policies G1, G8 and H4 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, policies G2, G6 and H4 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft 2003 and advice contained in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
