Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 26th November 2004
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to the size of the site relative to its surroundings and in particular the associated boundary definition and sub division of the plot, the proposal represents a cramped and inappropriate form of development, which would appear incongruous in the street scene and detract from the character and appearance of the area, contrary to policies G1 and H4 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policy H4 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft and Section 4 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.

That, having regard to the existing symmetry of the terrace, the proposed development would unbalance this symmetry which would adversely affect the street scene and the established character of the area contrary to policies G1 and H4 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2 and H4 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft and Section 4 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide.
