Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the access is located on a section of road which is tortuously aligned and where visibility is severely restricted for vehicles leaving the site. As such, the creation of the access would be seriously detrimental to the safety and convenience of highway users and contrary to policies G1 and G10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2 and T1 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft 2003.

That the boundary wall is a prominently located and attractive feature which constitutes positively to the streetscene in this part of the Garsington Conservation Area. As such, the removal of a significant section of the wall to facilitate a vehicular access to the property is detrimental to the character and appearance of the Conservation Area and contrary to policies G1, Con8 and Con10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan and policies G2 and Con10 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft 2003.
