Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 8th March 2005
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to the size of first floor extension and its proximity to the boundary with No 7 North Street the proposal would appear overbearing and lead to a loss of light to the adjoining dwelling to the detriment of the enjoyment of its amenities. As such the proposal is contrary to the South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G1, G8 and H12, and the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft, particularly policies G2, G6 and H13.

That having regard to their size and design the extensions would not be in keeping with the character of the existing terrace and would detract from character and appearance of the Conservation Area and the setting of the neighbouring listed building The Beeches, 4 North Street. As such the proposal is contrary to the South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G1, G8 CON7, CON10 and CON15 and the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, Second Deposit Draft particularly policies G2, G6, CON7 and CON10.
