Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That having regard to its scale and design, and in particular to the use of a flat roof, the extension would result in an unsatisfactory and awkward addition that would be out of keeping with and detrimental to the special architectural and historic character of this listed building. In addition the proposed replacement windows would not reflect traditional window styles and would be harmful to the special architectural and historic character of the listed building. As such the proposal would be contrary to provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G1, H12 and CON6 and the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 Second Deposit Draft, particularly policies G2, H13, CON4 and CON5 and to advice in South Oxfordshire District Council Design Guide.
