That having regard to the location of May Lodge in the open countryside, to the excessive size of the building, its inappropriate materials and details of design, and the associated extension of its domestic curtilage into the adjacent paddock land, the proposal would result in an incongruous form of development that would be detrimental to the natural beauty, special landscape quality and distinctiveness of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  Therefore the development would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's Adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G1, G5, G8 and C2 and the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 (Second Deposit Draft) particularly policies G2, G4, G6, C2 and H13.
