That, having regard to the style, materials and the general appearance of the signage, it is considered that the advertisement represents an intrusive feature which contributes to an excessive amount of advertisement material at the entrance to the site. The advertisement is also considered to be inappropriate and unsympathetic in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, detracting from the visual amenities of the locality. Therefore the proposal would be contrary to the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G13 and C2.
